Our local town of Spalding was once famous for its annual flower parade Sadly it came to a halt ten years ago due to insufficient funds and support. However, the good news is that the parade is making a comeback, and the entire community is showing its enthusiasm for this event.

On Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Spalding will once again witness a magnificent display of floral floats, heralding the return of the much-loved parade. Thanks to the support of local businesses and sponsors, and the tireless efforts of volunteers from the community, this year's parade will be organised and run entirely by the town's residents.

The organisers promise that the 2023 parade will have a new, fresh look while still preserving some of the nostalgic elements of the original. They are confident that it will be a resounding success, and best of all, it will be free for everyone to attend.

So, mark your calendars for May 13th, and come to Spalding to celebrate community spirit and natural beauty. This revival of the flower parade promises to be a grand event that will rewrite the town's history and bring back fond memories of a time when it was known worldwide for its spectacular floral displays.

We will be in attendance with a float of our very own which we're really excited about. Our social committee has been hard at work over the past weeks and months sourcing materials and building the float. The final preparations are going in this week and we can't wait to see the finished article!
