Who are we looking for:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated engineer to oversee the preventative maintenance to ensure the NIR Grader and Packhouse machinery run at maximum efficiency without compromising quality.
The position:
- Work closely with the Grader Technicians and Line Leaders to ensure all machinery is operational during the night shift
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure that engineering purchases of equipment and tools are kept to a minimum to perform the work required
- Oversee the automated wash cycle in the grader as and when required and monitor the cleaning of the contract cleaners to ensure high standards are maintained
- Perform regular planned preventative maintenance across the site to minimise downtime due to equipment breakdown
- Be an advocate for the company’s health and safety policy within the factory and on site
- Ensure plant, equipment and machinery are maintained to meet company requirements
- Lead by example all members of the team whilst encouraging a communicative culture and team ethic
- Competently and accurately complete the production paperwork
The perfect person would need to have:
- Experienced mechanical and electrical control engineer
- Problem solving skills to identify the root cause of an issue and ability to resolve
- Proven organisational skills
- Confident working on their own and as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
- Self-driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Flexible working approach and ability to adapt to change
