What we are looking for

This role is perfect for an ambitious hands on person. Responsible for controlling and managing raw material onsite to ensure the correct stock meets customer requirements to fulfil customer orders at the right time.

The Position

  • Determine what raw material is planned to arrive/be produced by liaising with both the procurement and the grading team
  • Predict required tonnage for packing every week and highlighting potential shortfalls (at least 72 hours before) by monitoring stock levels using Tableau and historical data
  • Utilising correct communication channels and current systems (Greenlight, Linkfresh, and Tableau) to block batches to ensure rotation and correct usage
  • Manage daily Industrial stock counts
  • Maintain Industrial CA1 & 3 Stock levels in conjunction with Goldwood
  • Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accurate and correct stock figures within Linkfresh/Tableau. Reconcile any discrepancies as soon as they occur
  • Efficiently manage stock rotation by assessing raw material in stock daily and monitoring the age of the stock ensuring the oldest is always used first (unless a senior manager advises that another batch should take priority)
  • Ensure allocation of correct space (as close as possible) for the graded product before arrival, including ventilation/redressing to avoid double handling also maximising the space by mixing rows in line with requirements
  • Ensure stock coming off the grader is of the right quality and assess if ventilation is required based on assessment
  • Ensure the product is acclimatised and in correct condition for packing by using the conditioning/drying facilities across the site
  • Ensure the product in the warehouse is placed, stacked and if required, segregated correctly
  • Understand and master customer specifications and apply the knowledge for the most effective use of the raw material
  • Prepare the allocated lot lists and work alongside the QC team to prepare the planned raw material for all packing line
  • Ensure accurate and clear information is shared with the managers for out-loading raw material with correct labels attached
  • Carry out an accurate monthly stock take of all raw material onsite
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your manager to ensure the overall smooth running of the business

The Perfect person should have

  • Forklift license is required
  • Active hands-on person
  • Ability to make considered decisions
  • Curious personality to gain full understanding of information
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven IT skills to utilise systems onsite
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Previous produce experience an advantage but not essential
