We are looking for:
A highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to join Dispatch
The Position
- Maintain computer work related to sales, production and stock records
- Ensure customer orders are collated efficiently & safely with 100% product pick achieved.
- Ensure that all colleagues are carrying out their designated roles and tasks safely, competently and efficiently, following all policies and procedures
- Communicate to customers & haulers, collection requirements needed for dispatch process
- The loading of all external hauler trailers in an efficient manner with all aspects of health and safety adhered to
- Monitor the team to ascertain that customer stock is rotated and that accurate stock counts are completed and any anomalies highlighted
- Conduct regular Asset stock counts
- Check promotional calendars to proactively plan for extra asset equipment needs
- Raise all tray orders to the tray companies in good time. De-hire trays and pallets dispatched on a regular basis to keep balances correct
- Keep tray, pallet and equipment spreadsheets updated daily to ensure the accounts team have access to quantities and delivery information when reconciling invoices
- Alert Manager and the production team any perceived shortfall in asset availability
- Liaise with alternative shift team leader to maintain a smooth ordering and de-hiring process
The perfect candidate should have
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner, while always keeping in mind the company clean as you go policy
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally with suppliers
- Strive for 100% accuracy in all aspects of the role
- Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to
- Able to work to time pressures
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Able to follow instructions, written and verbal
- A‘ can do attitude’ and attention to detail
- Prior leadership experience preferred but not essential
- Shunter experience would be beneficial
